Unfortunately whilst you can have a pocket knife with a blade shorter than 3 inches in public, you can’t have ANY bladed weapon in a school. Because of the Everybody has an addiction mine just happen to be Matt Rife vintage shirt Additionally,I will love this lack of harm , culpability etc I can’t imagine you get anything more than a slap on the wrist or at most a community order if some kind. I’m quite surprised your school went straight to reporting it though tbh. Apparently it is “procedure”. I understand knife laws are strict especially in the uk where knife crimes are high. My frustration lies in the fact I was carrying around a multi tool. It’s not solely a knife and I wasn’t intending to use the blade for any let alone malicious purposes. Locking blades are illegal regardless of length unless you have a reason The entire tool itself is 8.5cm long. You need the blade to be less than 7.62cm, and judging by those photos the sharp edge looks to be more than 0.9cm shorter. Annoyingly none of the sources seem to state the blade length, but it does look short enough judging by those pics and dimensions.
