This is something else that frustrated me, I’m not sure why a teacher went through my bag without permission and don’t know if it’s allowed. Police were cooperative though and said they would emphasise this detail in the Costner the marner the outlaw choose your costner shirt Additionally,I will love this report. Proof these stupid laws do nothing to tackle violent crime and are far more likely to make criminals of normal people This is for England but there will be equivalent guidance for Scotland. Phones come under restricted items if you are sitting exams. You indicated a phone was in your bag. You are not supposed to have a phone that is switched on near you in an exam. Hence the opening of your bag to turn it off. This is totally legitimate and you won’t be able to argue against the actions of the Head in this situation. I spoke to an invigilator who said they would move the bag away, they were very kind and cooperative. They gave it to office staff outside the exam hall. THEY were the ones who decided to open the bag. In Scotland from what I have read they are not allowed to do that without my presence unless they suspect immediate harm to someone.

I won’t pretend to be an expert on Scottish guidance. It’s hard to find info that isn’t directed for England/Wales. You could be correct. You may find school staff react strongly to phones being present in an exam hall. Many exam boards will strike an institute from being a registered exam centre if there is evidence the Costner the marner the outlaw choose your costner shirt Additionally,I will love this school doesn’t do enough to prevent cheating. Having a mobile in the same room you are doing the exam counts as cheating, even if you’re not using it. Incidentally, so does wearing a watch or having a label on your water bottle. It may be your exams officer got wind and decided this was the best way to protect their exam centre status. Again, this info is regarding English exam board requirements. I would assume Scottish exam boards have similar expectations, though. If you’re not planning or threatening to use it. Its not an offensive weapon… its a multi tool so i presume it doesnt lock with a steel spring?
