At my site we have small class sizes. It works. I can have conservations with each one of them to see what they have learned. I strongly agree. When my district opened in the Dwight Yoakam American country singer-songwriter actor and filmmaker Brilliant Ballads T-Shirt also I will do this September after Covid started, classes were split into a morning or afternoon session, with about 12 kids in each. The children were so much calmer and got a lot of individual attention. Another teacher would mean that sick and vacation days would be less disruptive since they would effectively be in charge while the sub is the second pair of hands and eyes. My school got a grant for added co-teachers right after Covid. Having another person in the classroom to help divide and conquer classes, especially needy ones, has been absolutely wonderful.

This is my number one too, and miles above any further suggestions. It is just too many bodies in a room to accomplish anything real, the Dwight Yoakam American country singer-songwriter actor and filmmaker Brilliant Ballads T-Shirt also I will do this conversation is pointless because nothing else can be effective with a 1:30 ratio. It just can’t. And any other positive changes that happen in the early years will be erased when the chaos of 1:30 comes into play. Everyone’s cortisol is always at a peak and no one can thrive in those conditions. I personally think volunteers are great. We have a parent volunteer at my placement and it’s awesome when she can come in. We had the PTA ask for parent volunteers. But since it is volunteering, people would regularly no-show or cancel last minute for assignments. So now the teacher is scrambling. There is no consistency, and things are forced to change last minute. It actually makes it worse. You’d like to think people would show up, but this has blown up so much in our faces. This entirely, I’ve got 31 students in one class that are “better” behavior wise but a significant part of my time is spent on classroom management while in my 21 student class with students that have more behavior issues I actually am able to get more done academically. Smaller class sizes create the best learning environment and 10-15 is the perfect class size imo.
