The frustration is that those who are “pro-life” are often folks who have very VERY binary thinking. Nuance is not often their strong suit. You have a lot of us vs them mentality going on. I grew up in an evangelical, fundamentalist type church environment and that was so very Black and White, Good and Evil, This or That. Shades of gray are “areas for the Dream Theater Metropolis Scenes From A Memory Shirt so you should to go to store and get this wicked to weasel into our lives” and that’d a direct quote. It’s all or nothing with these folks. The hill I will always die on is education. We need a better system that allows us to teach that shades of gray exist. Why it is even conceivable to think someone else should be able to decide what happens in all these situations is beyond me.

The sad truth is that Black and Latina women will bear the brunt of this development. Where are Paula, Veronica, Nia, Aaliyah, Gabriela…
