I think the Dream Theater Image And Words Shirt and I love this problem is a lot of men don’t understand the most basic things about human pregnancy so in the minds of a lot of men every instance of abortion is a Becky, Mary, or Paula. Which, to be clear, is still none of their damn business but it’s frustrating to be lectured to about pregnancy and abortion from people who literally do not understand the first thing about the pregnancy and associated risks. Bringing up the more extreme medical examples is an effective way to shoot down the moralistic arguments of fetus v woman. Because a lot of times the choice comes down to dead fetus/live mother or dead fetus/dead mother but a lot of men don’t care to understand that basic fact. You are orienting your argument in a way which is palatable for those who already agree to you, but which will outright be rejected by the people who you need to convince. Its easy to say “well this is just the way it should be”, but you’re dealing with groups who use emotional arguments (e.g. sob stories) against something which in principle should be a cut and dried inviolable right to bodily autonomy.

Dream Theater Image And Words Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Those last 4 examples you gave, while entirely justifiable, are seen as moral evils by the Dream Theater Image And Words Shirt and I love this groups you need to convince. And you might say “who cares what those people think”, but then you’ve already chosen to shut them out of the conversation and then get all shocked-pikachu face when they try to use some sneaky bastardry to subvert the protections put in place for women’s rights. These sob stories are not targeting the cold-logic users, its targetting those who use the same “pro-life” rhetoric in argument against abortion access. i’m pro-abortion when a person fucking wants one. im against contributing to the narrative that a person or woman has to be in a pressing circumstance to warrant an abortion. This needs to be emailed, printed, air-dropped, and billboarded until every pair of eyes in the US has seen it.
