I figured that evened the scales enough, though I still died a couple times. I never went back. He is the only still living being who can say they kicked the Elden Lord’s ass and I don’t want to take that from him Man…. My buddy and I picked up the game at the same time. Neither of us had ever played a FromSoft game. I beat my head against the wall until I conquered him. My buddy was pissed because he wanted me to experience all of the cool shit he was checking out and I was still in the starting area. Hahahaha I never saw him until late endgame. Came out of the starting area and walked along the far left edge of the cliff. Also didn’t realize Soldier of Godrick existed until I saw someone do it on Twitch months later. He’s always the first enemy I fight every playthrough. It’s an awesome boss and it feels wrong to just comeback when I’m overpowered. He’s honestly pretty reasonably balanced for early game he just does a lot of damage, but he isn’t to tanky. Immediately after seeing him That was my first boss Fucked my character raw no lube spent 3 hours getting good comming back to him like a yest infection i never left him alone until i won

The second I had leveled up enough to just barely reach the Don’t poke the bears LeBron James eat Dillon Brooks shirt and I love this requirements for SONAF. Given that this was also my first souls game and at that point I hadn’t done an actual boss fight yet (I’d followed a guide for “how to get powerful early” cuz I was stuck)… I don’t know how I managed to beat him honestly, just glad I’ve gotten better since then lol I did walk back downhill from the church where the merchant is, not a long way back but still I did evade him once, albeit accidentally since I was looking around the ruins east of him, thinking it’s a tomb I can get into. Get on torrent and just bait out each attack before charging back in. It’s a p simple fight but it takes a while. I happened to start with the Samurai, who has a bow, and noticed that the first merchant happened to sell arrows for cheap. I bought like 100 and just turned the Tree Sentinel into a pin cushion.
