It’s not metal or rock, but it’s perfect for this kind of situation. It’s not about that. He’s always been outspoken against Russia. He’s actually got a reason though, his grandfather was Ukranian and he also tweeted that his Transylvanian grandmother had endured the Soviet siege of the Carpathian mountains in Romania years ago as well. On the other hand, can you imagine being a Ukrainian on the battlefield literally in the middle of shooting at people and a guy in a suit just hands you a Manila folder of paperwork regarding your copyright infringement? It’s not just him trying to steal the spotlight. He’s actually got a reason, his grandfather was Ukranian and he also tweeted that his Transylvanian grandmother had endured the Soviet siege of the Carpathian mountains in Romania years ago as well. I imagine if they’re already blasting the song to boost morale then hearing the person behind the song is also with them would only boost morale even higher.

I was close to the Don’t Make Me Use My Soccer Mom Voice Shirt and I love this late drummer of Twister Sister, AJ Pero (who passed away a few years ago). He introduced me to Dee a while ago. He’s got a long history of doing stuff like this and is a total activist. I met him a few times and he is a really smart and super kind guy. Dee Snider is and always has been a class act. He stands up for what’s right and is a treasure to the metal community. Ah yes, because this will really help Ukraine in this war. Maybe if they play this terrible song loud enough the Russians will know they mean business and leave them alone. What a fucking joke. Free men and women are dying in the face of tyranny and all of you internet simps are celebrating copyright usage of a thirty year old song. If you’re offended by this you need to check your priorities.
