I’m only a few years younger than your grandparents, but one thing I’ve noticed with my generation is that it isn’t so much a matter of education, as it is a matter of finding an employer who pays decently, with decent retirement benefits, that you are actually able to collect upon in the Don’t go crazy am crazy just go normal from time to time snoopy shirt Besides,I will do this end. There are lots of boomers who are struggling now in retirement, who had good retirement packages stolen from them during Reagan’s era of hostile corporate takeovers, consolidations, bankruptcies and layoffs. There are two major factors going on here. First, wages began to stagnate compared to inflation with victories the women’s rights movement. My grandfather and grandmother were supervisors at the same meat packing plant before and after that time (from the late 1950s to the late 1980s when they retired). Before the women’s rights movement, he was paid more and she was told she didn’t need a raise because her husband already got one. After the women’s rights movement her wages were brought in line with his, but then both wages never increased again. Functionally, instead of both people making a higher salary, both of then ended up with a medium salary. You and I are offered that same “two income family” salary to this day.

The second part of this the Don’t go crazy am crazy just go normal from time to time snoopy shirt Besides,I will do this savings ethics of that generation. They just saved money and pinched pennies in ways we will not. They also didn’t have nearly as many entertainment options at their disposal to waste money on. They were miserly and thrifty and never wasted a dollar. That’s why they always whine about how their children don’t save anything. They would find it completely nuts that people claim they can’t afford anything but still subscribe to netflix, disney, hbo, hulu, ps5 game pass, spotify, and expensive phones and service. That type of conflict would not scan for them because they would prefer to keep the $15/month. It makes me so sad. Personally, I’m working my ass off now because I want my children to have a good life one day, and I hope that when they grow up they can have a life as easy as the boomers had it. I just try to do everything in my power to make that possible for my own children since I know it won’t be that way for me.
