Professionals that live in the Domantas Sabonis Lithuanian-American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings T-Shirt in contrast I will get this United States needs to be compensated higher because cost of living is out of control Because we have to pay for more things. With the exception of public toilets and public transportation (because we don’t have either). Land of the free is also land with no handouts. Our government protects our “right” to our rights, but rarely grants them, if ever. You might be looking at average as opposed to median. Also, the cost of living here has gotten so exorbitant that even if we technically make a lot of money, it doesn’t really mean anything. The answer lies in the greater hyper-capitalist system within which those professionals operate. Because essentially every part of our existence is paywalled with little government support unless you make basically no money (housing, healthcare, employment, technology, utilities, transportation, education, etc.) you have the “professional disciplines” making insane amounts of money on salary even with equitable countries, just based on how much else we have to pay for, which otherwise would have been taxed out and used by the government for social services.

Yet, our government focuses on “rugged individualism,” while still taxing heavily, but giving it to the Domantas Sabonis Lithuanian-American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings T-Shirt in contrast I will get this citizens first to “spend how you like” even though 50-75% of that income just pays for absurdly expensive bare necessities. This also increases significantly if you live in a desirable location where there is a greater concentration of such jobs, particularly on the coasts and especially in CA and NY, where those income levels are more “normal” due to everything else costing more relative to places where those prices are lower, but so are the incomes. This also allows those who profit from the licensing process, i.e., graduate schools and all related businesses, to charge exorbitant rates, far beyond what the average person can afford, requiring taking on sometimes hundreds of thousands of USD in debt. Many of the professionals you see making this much money are in likely 2-3 times that amount in debt or underwater in assets.
