This is not me. I am a speedster. I had a friend like this, though. She was very black & white about things and very justice oriented. She was very holier-than-thou about the whole thing and refused to acknowledge that she was not the judge and jury of the highway. She didn’t care how traffic flow was supposed to work, she was all about rigidly following the rules (even though she was breaking the rules). Ohioan here! I drive basically 2hours every day for work. We have dusty old people who think “I’m going the speed limit, so Im going to stay here.” There are times I’ve noticed that some try to get into the second lane but everyone is busy trying to pass them that they can’t move over. I usually am the speed demon but I always keep a respectable distance and people ALWAYS move over (eventually) people are people, they are not just their slow ass driving, so calm tf down and be patient and driving doesn’t have to be a nightmare for everyone.

They literally aren’t thinking and don’t care. There are some exceptions, it’s not universal. But the Dodgers Minion Shirt What’s more,I will buy this majority of people who do this just kinda get into a lane, stay in that lane going a certain speed, and that’s the end of how much thought they put into driving or being courteous to those around them. It’s not really a passing lane. It’s a fast lane. It’s there to go zooming by the dipshits on our right who are driving slowly. But for real- it’s not really a passing lane in my area (Chicago). Even in drivers Ed it was taught that the lanes go from R to L Slow, Medium, and Fast. Grew up in southern California and never heard of a passing lane till I went to Colorado and got pulled over for it. The cop saw my California plates and let me go with a warning after explaining the law. He was originally from California. Guilty. There is one country interstate where I do this, although I do move over if someone wants to pass. I’m on the road really early for about an hour as the sun rises. Being in the left lane gives me an extra second to respond if a deer jumps out. It’s usually a very empty road so there is minimal impact.
