I’m sorry you dated this guy for so long before learning he’s anti-choice. The fact he threatened to kill you if you end a pregnancy caused by him scares me. Not wanting a kid is reason enough to have an abortion. It’s great his group of friends stepped up, but not all guys do. this is when you leave him girl sorry but if he doesn’t believe you have equal rights to him then he doesn’t deserve to date you. he is not a “good guy” if he would MURDER a woman over a medical issue that is her private business. BREAK UP WITH HIM!!! Fucking misogynistic psycho that you’re dealing with. You can’t dismiss politics when his views are based in his own self-interest and do not consider the Winter Sowing While It’s Snowing Come the Spring I Will Be Growing Plants T-Shirt Besides,I will do this majority of people and their various circumstances. He doesn’t deserve your sex, time or attention. He doesn’t even respect your bodily autonomy. No excuses, figure out your escape plan. When my mom got pregnant my dad abandoned us. He paid child support but refused any contact. I had to be forced on him and he still hid his shame from his family for 26 years

It kind of sounds like you’ve been just ignoring these big-time differences between you and he b/c you’re in a somewhat comfortable relationship. I feel like if you’re going to have an actually *good* relationship then you’ve got to be at least somewhat on the Winter Sowing While It’s Snowing Come the Spring I Will Be Growing Plants T-Shirt Besides,I will do this same page. I think, especially with first/early relationships, people tend to stick around for a hell of a lot longer than they should – I know I did. Like when you’ve never been in any adult relationships except this *one*, then you don’t have much opportunity to gauge what’s good, what’s bad, etc. I’m so sorry about this. You have to break up with him. The ramifications of this are so big — not just about abortion but about a complete and utter lack of empathy or understanding. A sense of possession over you and other people, where he gets to decide and you don’t. You must leave. Minus the “I’d have to kill you” part which I hope was just weird hyperbole, my husband and I are drastically different on the abortion topic. (Me pro, him anti)
