With the DJ Moore American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt and I love this title presentation perhaps it was an activity after they talked about the importance of attending and your kid got it in a folder cause they weren’t there Yeah it looks like they had a “syllabus day” and went over classroom procedures. And this was just a fun assignment to go with it. This is without question the most likely explanation. It’s the first day of school and that type of presentation would be completely appropriate to set expectations for a class. The sheet literally says presentation. Kid misses it but still got the worksheet they handed out to keep kids engaged. Am I crazy or does this not seem like a big deal and everyone is making a mountain out of a mole hill? Oh my god your child was given a wordsearch. The horror. I hope you can find a therapist that can help them overcome such an agonizing trauma.

I think it’s pretty clear that this wasn’t about it being a word search, but rather the DJ Moore American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt and I love this disrespectful implications. Considering that the entire content of that search contains words like “education”, “future”, “truant”, and similar, it’s less about the assignment and more about the pettiness of it. That whole sheet just gives off “bad education system/toxic teacher”. I mean, the kid is 8. What is missing the first day of school in 3rd grade going to do to your future? And why are they basically calling him a truant? I agree it’s petty and kinda dumb, but I really don’t see it as this horribly toxic thing. Not nearly as bad as having to write something 30 times or being made to stay late or miss recess. Honestly, if you asked an eight year old if they’d rather miss a bit of play time or do a word search, I don’t think many kids would be emotionally damaged by the second option. It depends why he wasn’t at school. Do you know what truant means? It means skipping school without permission. Was that the case?
