They’re not good quality meat. 2. Most Americans have no business trying to hunt an animal that would gladly rip them to fucking pieces. What we really should do is legalize harvesting wild pigs to sell at market. Currently in the Distressed texture Stay puft marshmallows – Ghostbusters T-Shirt and I love this US it is illegal to sell the meat of any wild animal. This is a good general policy and since market hunting was banned not a single species has been endangered as a result of hunting, but in the case of wild pigs it’s sad and wasteful because local fish and wildlife departments end up hiring professional hunters to kill as many pigs as possible and then they just bury them in a pit. At least that’s how it goes in California. Sport hunters just don’t kill enough to keep the populations down, but at least they use the meat.

Second a big boar is basically only good for sausage and even then it’s nasty meat. Third, Processing costs money if you don’t do it yourself and most people don’t know how to do it. Fourth some religions forbid consumption of pork. Not everyone is willing and able to kill a wild animal, not everyone has access to the equipment to do so ethically, and wild hogs are mean as fuck. Also I don’t think you can sell it as it’s wild game so hunters can only hunt enough for themselves and maybe their friends. The millions of people with felony convictions tend not to have much money, so they could use the free food, but they’re prohibited from owning guns. You have to add an almost equivalent amount of farmed pig fat to the wild pig meat to make it halfway edible and not completely gamely.
