For footage of leopards eating the Disney Trick or Treat Halloween Shirt and I love this faces in real time, check the comments on this related story about banning the Bible I read one comment about “LGBT operating manuals” and I was out. Is that seriously what they think school libraries are stocking? Is that what they think a book about sexual health is? Or, at this point, is any YA novel with a non-straight character an operating manual in their eyes? My school library had books about sex education in it. It showed how sex happened with a straight couple–both showing how babies were made and how to make sure they weren’t. So who cares if books these days also teach safe sex for gay couples? Sex education doesn’t encourage kids to have sex. They’re having sex anyway. Sex education just shows them how to do it safely.

And for all those parents who are all “IT’S MY JOB TO TEACH SEX EDUCATION, NOT THE SCHOOL’S.” Teach it then, and your kids won’t be shocked at anything they find in the Disney Trick or Treat Halloween Shirt and I love this library. Win/win. Good news, the local news story about the Book of Mormon ban proposal is now live with comments for your LAMF reading pleasure Fascists are a strange bunch. They’ll make mad grabs for unearned power and are seemingly immune to objective reality. When this fails to manifest in a coup of some sort they tend to start on each other. I understand it’s Natures way of keeping the numbers down. Oh, that is pretty funny. Ban the Book of Mormon in Utah. Some crazy stuff right there. See the devilment when you start banning books.
