I have to say, I made excuses like this for years. I have switched up my diet the Dippytees Kanye West Shirt moreover I love this past couple months and haven’t seen an increase in the food cost at all. I actually expect to see a reduction in food costs after I finish stocking my pantry with staples. Whole grains and quinoa are super cheap. Beans are super cheap and although you think they take long to prepare, you can take one afternoon to prepare them, then freeze them too have them on hand all month when you need them. I use mostly frozen veg, I spent about $50 (family of 4) for a month or more worth, frozen fruit (same), Greek yogurt is $3 for a big tub of it and the kids are making smoothies all the time. Like I said, we are spending more now because we are still trying to figure out exactly what we like, we are stocking a pantry from scratch with new healthy products and we are not quite in track with eating healthy yet. But I am down 15 lbs this month. We are not spending $40 (or more) on fast food several nights on weekends. We are not buying expensive soft drinks. If someone actually did a price break down of those two pictures, I would actually be surprised to see much of a difference. I know that coke and coffee alone has to cost at least $9 and that meal, although it is 1600 calories, it isn’t going to keep you full all day, so you are going to end up spending more on the left side buying multiple of those sandwiches to stay full than you would eating all the food on the right to stay full all day.

I’m not trying to preach to anyone, trust me. I just find myself in the Dippytees Kanye West Shirt moreover I love this situation to have some knowledge of this at this particular moment just being diagnosed with Prediabetes and having to change my lifestyle. Obviously a tesco meal deal is more convenient on the go and cheaper than 5 meals with smoked salmon, berries, etc. Honestly I see things that are really expensive where I live, like strawberries, blueberries, salmon and avocado. This food isn’t really necessary for having a healthy diet. There are other stuff that is healthy and way cheaper at least where I live. For example: lettuce, tomatoes, corn, carrots, onion, eggs and chicken meat in general. Something important too is the way you cook it. Try to use good additives, for example, if you want to use oil, use olive oil instead of sunflower oil.
