I like the Denver Rockies Broncos Avalanche Nuggets Flag Shirt Also,I will get this explanation and it somewhat makes sense, but from the inside you’re still a dark shadow. Doesn’t matter what the color of your suit / shirt is. I think the effect of white kicks into gear when you’re in direct sight of the bees! I wonder if there’s a difference in how the bees respond based on whether you’re between them and the sun, or if the hive is between you and the sun? it’s actually common practice in beekeeping to not cast a shadow on the hive. it makes them aggressive, which i guess adds support to this guys theory too Bees can see uv light and which direvtion it coming from. They also can see magnetic currents. Flowers also devolped color to attract bees. That is a long-winded response to say that bees are okay with the sun approaching their hives- which is doubtful for obvious reasons. Sunlight aids them, and literally grows their food. The original comment is more likely correct, but it’s not just bears that eat bees, larvae or honey, the list is long and the term for it is mellivory. And to be honest, since humans can’t think like a bee we will never truly know, so the argument of why bees are skeptics of dark figures is moot. The best we can do is observe their behavior and hypothesize why they behave that way. Furthermore, how many flowers that are bee pollinated are dark colors? Not many, flowers that bees depend on and vice versa typically are bright vivid colors. Flowers (that rely on bee pollination); want to be seen by pollinators, and therefore evolved accordingly.

A lot of animals actually. Bears are the Denver Rockies Broncos Avalanche Nuggets Flag Shirt Also,I will get this worst since they destroy entire hives. But skunks will hang out at hive entrances eating bees. Raccoons, badgers, and opossums will all take chunks of hive if they can. Even mice and rats sometimes sneak in. All of which are usually dark colored. It’s bears. Yellowjackets also have a similar response. If you cross their nests with your shadow, they become more unhappy. Listened to a podcast about how they like to get drunk and that made me like them a bit more. I could only find one article that even mentions if this is a thing and it’s on a bee forum. Everyone says different things so make that of what you will. Would be interesting to see a scientific study on it Bees are actually reallly evolved. They can see uv light and magnetic currents. Theres like three bee jobs. If they are not good at one job they will switch to a different job. They are also one of the only insects that have been observed playing
