I would liken it to being able to play the Death Punch 18th anniversary 2005 2023 signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this violin. Yeah it would be nice to know how to play one. But, that’s all. It would be nice maybe occasionally to have already put in the work and maybe once a year pick ua violin and be able to use it. Thing is I don’t actually really care much about making music, I don’t listen to that much music anyway and really the only time I ever think ‘oh wouldn’t it be nice to be able to play’ is when I see an expert doing something cool with one. There isn’t a situation in which playing any musical instrument would bring me enough joy to offset the years of practice it takes. It does not make me happy enough to be worth the time and effort put in. Folks seem to understand it when you talk about music instruments or learning a new language but the second it’s about a relationship they sort of totally misunderstand 9/10 folks I have tried to share this perspective with just sort of think I’m lazy or suck or something.

On the Death Punch 18th anniversary 2005 2023 signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this opposite side. Right now I have a puppy, she is great but she is also a lot of hard work. I put in that work though because for me having a healthy happy dog is worth that effort. It brings both of us happiness. If I wasn’t willing I should not get a puppy and possibly not even a dog because it’s mean an unfair to make a dog be unhappy and possibly neglected because putting in the effort isn’t worth it. Everyone pretty much agrees that this is reasonable. There seems to be so much stigma about being single in some places that folks just presume either something is wrong with me that I can’t find anyone or I’m just sad and gave up trying. I have never been more at peace with myself than when I realised that it was way better for me to just be on my own and actually happy.
