I think a lot of folks use it in the David McCallum Broadway 1968 shirt it is in the first place but morning since retinol is popular to use at night and you are not suppose to combine the two. From my knowledge the main reason people don’t use it day and night is the usage of retinol and the skin irritation that it may cause. Vitamin C and retinol is great to use in combination (just not at the same time necessarily) for its anti aging benefits so a lot of people just put the hand in hand. If you aren’t using retinol tho, from what I’ve read, there shouldn’t be a problem using it twice a day after using cleanser and toner. There was a post here or a similar sub the other day on this topic, where OP and some commenters shared they use vitamin C serum at night an prefer it A lot of people were saying that you’re not getting the sun protection + sunscreen boost using it at night though

For myself, (mid-30s, very dry skin, hormonal acne issues, freckles, and I wfh/rarely out in the David McCallum Broadway 1968 shirt it is in the first place but sun) using vit C at night has been a game changer. I wake up with more “full” looking skin, hormonal acne tends to dry out/minimized redness, and there appears to be a bit of exfoliation when I do my morning wash (lots of what appears to be dead skin sloughing off) which gives me a brighter appearance and much smoother surface when I do apply makeup. Caveats: I do not currently use a retinol product of any kind AND I use a heavy duty moisturizer at night OVER the vit c serum after it has dried a bit. I also use a daytime moisturizer with squalene and a good sunscreen. It was an accident as I had been using it during the day like everyone said to but I had forgotten and decided to put it on after a shower one night and was so very pleased the next day that I continued! “Vitamin C has been praised for its anti-aging and brightening benefits, but studies have shown that it also works as a sun-damage protectant”
