A lot of it is just waiting around for your name to be pulled at random for a trial. So it can be quite boring. You might have the Damn right I am a 49ers Fan Now and Forever Shirt but in fact I love this fortune (or misfortune) of being called up to serve on a big trial that might last a few weeks, which is what happened to me. They do talk with everyone to see if people have the availability and will excuse people for various reasons (I was excused because I had university exams to attend). Some trials last a mere 8 hours, others few days. During the trial it can be pretty interesting, boring or even distressing depending on the crime. Yeh, I have no objection to being off work for a while due to it (I’d get full pay) but I do have some mildish concerns around the impact some trials might have on my mental health

Damn right I am a 49ers Fan Now and Forever Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

My girlfriend was on a rape case she came home crying every night she hated the Damn right I am a 49ers Fan Now and Forever Shirt but in fact I love this whole experience. I was just waiting the first week which was so boring but the second week I was on a drug possession case and I really liked it so your experience could be good or bad depending on luck. My friend heard three back to back sexual assault cases and ended up going to her GP for a sick note to get out of the last two days. She was in bits for weeks. Depends on your work – I’m sure we do and just get marked out as jury duty. Otherwise I think you just get a rubbish stipend. Someone i work with has it this week I think or next and she was telling us it was only part payment of her day compared to her work daily wage, and she had to find extra childcare for a certain day which I’m sure she said she could claim back for. Hopefully you get it full paid, it’s ridiculous if not.
