This. If the Damien Harris 22 Buffalo Bills running back graphic shirt moreover I love this job requires good camera face, then it’s HR’s job to recruit from people who are already showing their face to the camera. Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up is 3:32. I’d create a slide card before the Rick Roll stating “The following is in my honest opinion, the greatest expression of humanity, what it means to live a good life, a rich life, and why we exist in this reality. If after the following piece of high art, you have any questions, I await your interview offer to provide further clarification.” If you’re an employer and you put this on your application, guess what? You aren’t gonna get people. 5% of the population has ADHD, 2% have some form of autism, 7-13% have social anxiety, you’re fucked. They don’t care about your answer. Just how you answer it. If you listen to anyone speaking about anything at a length of 3-5 minutes, you can make a few basic assumptions about education, knowledge, grasp of language skills and personal demeanour. Honestly do you think you’re so special that some stranger actually wants or cares about your life to this point?

I’ve sent one of these in before. Took lots of random video images of stuff, threw them into a free movie app (iMovie), did a Movie Voice Person voiceover. Maybe a 5 min video of all the Damien Harris 22 Buffalo Bills running back graphic shirt moreover I love this exact stuffs they looking for and end it with “by the way i just realised i dont want to work for you ” My friend’s daughter just got a job at the Mayo Clinic and she had to record a short video as part of the application process. Well they can just keep that job that probably pays way below what it should especially if I have to make a VIDEO of myself so some intern can trash my application because of “lighting” issues. Do they want you here an honest take on how awful things are, or are they looking for employees with the best acting skills? Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one. Well at least they’re honest about the sort of person they want so decline the role and move on. Huge red flags I’d just send them an extremely professional resume and then a video of my dog licking his balls from a fake email just to fuck with them.
