I would contact your union rep or shop steward asap, in writing, and ask them for a copy of the contract. I’m fairly certain it isn’t legal not to have a day off for 6 weeks straight. I would say contact your MPP and Ontario’s Minster of Labour as well. The Minister of Labour should at least be able to give you a run down of the labour laws and if your union contract can supersede any of those laws. At my union workplace they technically could have you work 15 , 10 hour work days in a row then you have 15 days off or work and get paid double. In reality if you chose you could call in at somepoint during the 15 days of work and say your fatigued. That’s a worksafe workaround. Perhaps that is something you can try? A lawyer won’t help you. Your union rep is who you need to contact and they need to see whether this breaks your collective agreement
