When I was cancelled by a host, I tried my credit card and travel insurance. Both made it very clear they are to help get refunds back when I’m not getting one. If I wanted a rebooking help, I would need a travel agent and have booked through one. All the Creedence Clearwater Revival Capturing Ccr Iconic Shots Of The Band In Action T-Shirt also I will do this travel insurance does is get a full refund for you. Well, I argued about the “Aircover” they’re promoting and they said it ONLY covers if the unit is damaged or not the same as the description. Apparently it only applies to “Major Inconveniences” LOL I just laughed when they told me Finally after hours of arguing with them, they gave me a coupon worth 5% of my cancelled stay. I gave up, better than nothing I guess? 🥲 First… AirBnB promised to cancel/remove all illegal hosts after they were involved in the murder of 7 people, see hen a few days later they told the illegal hosts how to relist using fake licence numbers. Which has caused the government to start a new law, see

Second… when it comes to certain special weekends, in Montreal this is usually the Creedence Clearwater Revival Capturing Ccr Iconic Shots Of The Band In Action T-Shirt also I will do this Grand Prix, Osheaga and Convocation, prices go very high…. and well, the cost of the fine for cancelling or lying to get out of a reservation becomes enticing to some hosts. And so, they cancel, because they know they can put it elsewhere and make a LOT more money. Sorry about that, but that’s the cost of capitalism. It’s especially difficult when it’s via AirBnB, because you can’t really review them, since it’s cancelled. AirBnB charges them a fine… but obviously the fine is less than they will make by reselling. And I’m going to get downvoted, but it doesn’t change the reality. I’m not saying it’s right. I’m not saying it’s good. I’m just telling you the reality of why this happened. It’s not my morals. I don’t do this. But then most of the listings on AirBnB in Montreal were ILLEGAL listings… you can’t expect that people running illegal, underground listings have high morals…. neither does the company have a high moral code… they told hosts how to fake the licence number and have tried to dump the verification of hosts on the government, rather than running the business morally. And we have 7 dead people in Montreal from this lack of morality on all parts I don’t mean to sound insensitive but unfortunately this is the risk you take by booking an Airbnb. They are giving you a full refund. It sucks but if airbnbs are all too expensive you might want to just look into a hotel. Booking.com has both Hotels and apartments.
