Now part of this is imo because batman didn’t have that much to be emotionally connected to this case as he could have. Now imagine that scene if riddler had actually killed alfred, how much more emotionally interesting would that be. Also why the Could Be A Train Station Kinda Day Shirt besides I will buy this fuck did riddler let himself get captured, he could have accomplished the exact same plan while not being in arkham. If he was going to purposefully get captured there should have been a better and more interesting reason. Also the joker and riddler scene felt really fan-servicey and lame, felt like one of those shite marvel post credit scenes everyone creams their pants over. The ending felt very anticlimactic overall. The cinematography was generally good-great throughout but they constantly did a very intense focus on one object and blur the rest of the screen which looked tacky and cheap. Also the carpet thing. The cop on shift at the time just f**king happened to be one that knows this obscure carpet tool. Batman didn’t figure that shit out, he just lucked out so much that it’s truly unbelievable. Jfc we get it, that kid is like Bruce was omg. We don’t need to see him staring at him so many times. Overall i loved what they set up in the first half. But the second half undid some of that, regressed to more of a tacky predictable superhero movie. It was still an enjoyable experience, but nowhere near the flawless masterpiece people claim it to be.

I didn’t like the Could Be A Train Station Kinda Day Shirt besides I will buy this performance of Commissioner Gordon. Something about it made it so obvious he was acting, and came off as corny to me. it literally felt like we were watching a Gotham-themed Westworld park where Bernard is re-programmed to be Gordon Thank you for sharing your thoughts! U truly captured the essence of The Batman. I found myself nodding along with every single point you mentioned. Bat and Cat I felt that their on screen love relationship was rushed. There may or may not have been some sexual tension between them but a romance isn’t what this movie required. I can definitely see this type of scene happening in Christian Bale’s Batman but not here. Politician gun shot The moment she was shot, part of me was YES FINALLY SOME IMPACT. But no, they missed and she didn’t get a fatal shot. Was she even necessary to keep this movie or sequel going? I don’t think so. Would have been so much better if she got a headshot. Riddler and his army I gotta say, I was so impressed with the riddler. He kept me on the edge of my seat. I got John Doe vibes and I was extremely intrigued but also afraid of what he would do. But his storyline fell short for me, I was expecting more. I really liked that he managed to build his own army and how he orchestrated this whole thing. Ultimately I was left disappointed because the grand plan wasn’t really a grand plan. He started off so well and ended with a meh. Perhaps like what Joker said, we all love a good comeback. His army… Well, I just thought they would be better shooters. And when they asked one of the accomplices who he was, I was half expecting him to say I’m the riddler. Because in all of us lives a riddler, we have all been nobodies, we are all broken, we are all hiding behind our masks, Riddler’s everywhere to be found. And I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the scene when they were all left hanging on their safety harness took me back to when Joker hanged his victims on the bridge. It would be absolutely amazing if that was a tribute or throwback to the trilogy.
