My best guess is that they are not paying attention because they are too focused on living their “life of quiet desperation.” Sometimes I do this because my stoplight to turn left is coming up in a mile or two and I don’t want to try to get across two lanes in heavy traffic. Depends on the Congresswoman jackie walorskI rip jackie walorskI classic shirt In addition,I will do this speed limit, lanes, and the flow of traffic. if i’m going 75 on my 3 lane strrech of freeway to work thats inside the city, when the speed limits going is 55, I’m not moving out of the way, especially when the other 2 lanes are only going 60-65(75 MPH is the most common speed in my stretch of freeway in the left lane). also, if i know a left lane is getting added on and i’m coming up on it, i’m not going to bother. other than that, i’ll mostly move over. I hate driving behind people so I just pass everyone until there’s no one in the right anymore. The limit is 100 and I go about 130 so rarely do people ever catch up to when I’m passing.

I pass right traffic, just not at breakneck speed. People need to stop being in such a freaking rush. That’s what’s dangerous. I’m turning left and feel like if I don’t get in now there’s gonna be a ton of people who won’t let me in/won’t be any space for me, or I’m passing someone going slower than me. Or I’m lost/missed my turn and am just waiting for a U-turn spot or to find the right road that I know will be on the left. It makes sense on rural roads where you may need to pass a tractor, it does not make sense in city highways with multiple left lane exits. Then the safest course is to get in the lane that requires the minimal amount of lane changes and stay. Living in Europe is so refreshing. Nobody uses the left lane unless they are passing and they get over quickly when done. Americans are just self absorbed assholes. Sometimes I have a left turn coming up OR there’s an on/off ramp on the right that is short and busy and I don’t wanna be in their way Also, I go 10 over the speed limit and assholes still tailgate me because 70 in a 55 zone is totally fine and normal, so there’s not a lot I can do to not impede traffic if I’m in the left lane…
