Be unChristian, tell your boss to get bent. She doesn’t own you and has no right to say what you do in your spare time or who you talk to. So your boss has a God complex. Spell your bosses name and then Spell God, look them straight in the Congrats Nick Taylor Champion Of RBC Canadian Open Shirt and by the same token and eyes and tell them it’s not a match. Find another congregation. The various sects all have really poor employment laws. I would recommend prayer to your diety because it sounds as if they are superior in your organization. I agree, I was shocked at her saying that I need to spend less time in church. It just does not make sense for a priest to say. But she rarely makes sense. Ehh, I can somewhat understand the “avoid work friends part.” I have seen some peoples rants make life even more stressful once the gossip runs around the office. As far as the religious stuff, I hope you got that stuff in writing/and are also in a country that protects religious freedom like the US… If you are, that discrimination is forever gold for future promotions/job protection for you. The work friends part stems from by boss thinking that I actively withheld my stress and just overall state from her, which is completely false. She thinks this because one of my co-workers has also been burnt out and saw the signs, she tried to tell me and I didn’t listen. My co-worker then went to my boss trying to hint to my boss that maybe I wasn’t doing great any more, and in my boss mind this meant that I absolutely must have had an in depth conversation with my co-worker about how I wasn’t feeling great and simultaniously hiding it from my boss. Which absolutely was not the case, and I have tried to explain this to her several times but she does not listen. Unfortunately I don’t have it in writing. And I’m in Sweden which definitely protects religous freedoms but since we’re so very secular I’m not sure that it would be completely understood. But I’m thinking about calling my union and see what they say.

Jeez tell her to put it in writing. “Dont go to this particular church in your free time” sounds like instant lawsuit to me.
