Get a contract. Tell them you’ll only take the Clint Eastwood I miss the good Ole days when everyone wasn’t such a pussy shirt In addition,I will do this role with a contract and planned date of when you will receive your pay bump and title change. So let’s say they wanted one quarter, too much in my opinion, you’d get a contract stipulating that you receive your title change and pay increase at the end of the quarter. Also get into writing any penalties they will receive if they don’t give you title change and pay increase by X date. Nope. If they want you in the role they’re going to pay you for it. They’re absolutely is money seeing as though they just let a whole person go. It is not fair to expect you to take on all this extra responsibility, extra stress Etc with no increase. Why would anyone in their right mind do that? If they think you are good enough to be put in that role then you should be good enough to be getting paid for it. If I were you I would not accept this position without an increase now and maybe another increase in 6 months. These people know they have to pay to play. They’re trying to take advantage of you

I wouldn’t take the Clint Eastwood I miss the good Ole days when everyone wasn’t such a pussy shirt In addition,I will do this risk. Kindly refuse the extra workload and responsibilities and continue doing what you’re responsible for doing. They can find another poor sap to underpay and abuse. Miss me with that. If you want me as the ‘team leader’ today, you’re comfortable with the idea of me being the team manager, you just don’t want to shell out the cash Just a heads up, they have absolutely no plans on giving you a raise. This is not a trial period. They let your boss go because they thought they could save money by having you take on the workload without adjusting compensation. Take the title, perform in the role for 6 months at your same rate, get a new job and leverage your new title for a huge raise.
