They can’t require that you work while off the Cleveland Browns The Eras Tour 2023 Shirt In addition,I will do this clock. PTO is paid time off. You must be paid your wages; not use pto if you are working. Nonexempt employees who are covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act can’t be asked to do work off the clock. For instance, workers can’t be required to do prep work or clean up outside their paid shifts.” Except (absent a specific state law to the contrary) vacation time isn’t considered earned compensation until after it’s paid, so really they’re just penalizing the employee with a loss of vacation time that never truly existed for them. There’s no working off the clock going on. My bet is that the actual policy is (2), but people are either “hearing” option (1), or somebody is trying to communicate (2), but is saying (1) and us clueless about the subtle, but significant, difference.

This seems poorly worded. It means you can’t WFH any day than Friday. You need to burn a day off instead of trying to wfh on a non-Friday If you’re using paid vacation day, there should be no work done and anyone who does is a sucker. If they are working from home, they have to get paid for it or it’s wage theft. No it’s not legal. If they take the Cleveland Browns The Eras Tour 2023 Shirt In addition,I will do this day off it’s a day off. They can’t be forced to use vacation and then have to work that day. I’m not sure about New Jersey but I know that in some states if you work for 15 minutes you’re entitled to all your PTO for a day. So your employer seems petty egregious with the wage theft. Paid Time Off is just that, time off. If they’re forcing you to take PTO, then you shouldn’t work (not that they should force this anyways) They’re stealing time from you, as I’m sure it’s documented you can report or even speak to a lawyer, idk about all that, but do know that your company is double dipping and fucking you over… so return the favor
