Islander is used for people from SW Pacific Islands, and Maori for Indigenous New Zealanders or the Cleveland Barons Logo Defunct Ohio Hockey Team 1976 1978 Shirt moreover I will buy this name of the island if you know which one they’re from. So unless you’re referring to the only black skinned person in the room, you’re probably going to get a follow-up question seeking clarification. The way you said it isn’t automatically racist, but most people will assume you’re racist. “Big black guy” has a lot of connotations about black people being violent and/or threatening. More innocently, you could describe the only black person in a group as “the black guy” just because it’s an easy way to describe them. But, you could also say it’s an easy way to discriminate them. As though being black is their only or most relevant feature.

Just don’t refer to anyone’s race or skin colour unless it’s relevant to a conversation being had. Even with the Cleveland Barons Logo Defunct Ohio Hockey Team 1976 1978 Shirt moreover I will buy this best intentions there are better ways to do it (shirt colour, whether they have glasses, etc) and there’s a lot going on in people’s minds that mean you will likely never choose an appropriate time to refer to “the black guy” and everyone within earshot know how you meant it You may only point out the white male by his skin color and what ever insults you have: “Do you mean the big fat white boy over there?” Is perfectly acceptable but people of color, you should first ask them what the prefer to be called and go with it from there. But if you are a person of non-color and you do this your a racist so either way your a racist. So sit yo white ass down and STFU. Don’t be snitching on who a person of color is and where they at. Mind yo own business you racist A.Hole.
