I once worked for a government contractor you’ve heard of. I’m a machinist. Somehow, my direct co worker and I managed to call out the Cincinnati bengals fc cincinnati reds football logo shirt But I will love this same exact day the second time, honestly no planning either time. The next day management thought it would be a good idea to give us a little tour of the factory and what our machined parts were doing for the satellites they produced. We got to see this cool machine that pulls on the satellites to create the stresses it would under go during launch. It was nice to see where my work was going. But the most valuable piece of information I got out of that tour was “if we report being at a certain stage, or ahead of schedule on a certain date, LM gets a bonus, and there’s multiple periods for bonuses, so your work here is very important”. Hm…very VERY interesting considering I never saw shit of those big fat aerospace bonuses.

Also Raytheon the Cincinnati bengals fc cincinnati reds football logo shirt But I will love this company that recruited me out of the Navy… And I quit not 6 months later because “FUCK THIS BULLSHIT!” OP says they’re unionized. Is the company not giving them something in the agreement, or is the company going above and beyond the agreement by offering pizza? Yeah I’m torn, on one hand they all signed the agreement drawn up during their last strike, and on the other hand I completely agree it’s bullshit that the suits who do no work get huge bonuses they can collect on their 3rd vacation this year. Cause like…the company didn’t have to buy them pizza, but it’s also like a slap in the face to reward something so shitty after the level of work that was put in. Like why even bother at that point. There are pros and cons to collective bargaining. Depending on the jurisdiction, those suits give up job security and might be the first out the door in hard times
