I graduated college and got into the aerospace industry and started at Boeing. I worked for a solid 4 years and kept moving up. I swapped different aerospace companies a few times during the years and pre-covid ended up at SpaceX. After doing mandatory 50-60 hour weeks for a few years I am just burnt out, plus los angeles traffic, I’d be up at 3am out the door by 4am at work by 5 so a 1 hour drive in, then I wouldnt get home until 6:30 or so and I’d have to be in bed by 8pm”. I joined them for the passion and I really genuinely believed in the “long term goal” and it’s been 2 years since SpaceX and I just have 0 motivation to ever do anything above what is required at any job. I just have 0 motivation what so ever. I wish I had an answer for you but I truly don’t. I still struggle with this and am also thinking of finding a WFH job.
