Yes, and if you feel weird about it, just casually mention to the Chicken Sheet Pumpkin Halloween shirt and by the same token and bartender that you’re the DD tonight. He’ll look upon you with great fondness. Re: tip amount, if you are in the US, I would say tip 1-2 dollars per the number of times the bartender had to refill your water. Yeah man. The Liquid Death brand and packaging was built for this exact usecase. If you want to spend money, maybe ask if they have cans of Liquid Death If you’re with a group drinking/eating, doesn’t matter, if you’re on your own or a water drinking group, order some food at least you’re still taking space etc. Also tipping, as long as you buy some food, is not obligatory, but it you had fun and served well its always appreciated. I have celiac (so can’t eat at most restaurants) and don’t drink alcohol. I just order a tonic water with lime and leave a really big tip. No complaints yet. My boyfriend doesn’t drink alcohol and isn’t fond of sugary drinks, so he generally orders a bottle of water when we go to a bar with our friends. Never had issues. I get lemonade whenever I’m unfortunate enough to end up in a bar. Not a big fizzy drink fan normally but I’d rather get a drink that costs money than look like I’m just taking away a seat.

Yes but if you want to make friends with the Chicken Sheet Pumpkin Halloween shirt and by the same token and bartender you should order a Mr. Rodgers here and there.. Tip $20 if you like the bartender and want to come back. Otherwise $10 is fine if you’re just getting water I’ve been to a few nightclubs that will serve you free water/soft drinks if you show your car keys Can’t speak for else where but in the UK they don’t charge for tap water either Yeah, but with us water was not free. If it was you would still be welcome. We rather have someone adding to the atmosphere without drinking than a drunk guy with a giant tab we have to force to pay. I only drink Coke at bars. If you’re courteous and give decent tips to your bartender, you shouldn’t have any problems.
