I was hired by a union local. The union local president told me it was time I became a dues-paying member of the Charles Wesley Godwin Metropolitan Theatre Morgantown, WV Dec 15, 2023 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this local. I refused. I refused because I was well aware that if I wasn’t covered by an NLRB-recognized bargaining unit it was actually illegal for me to pay dues as an active “member” of the union. The local fired me. It contested my Unemployment Compensation claim, and got word to me that if I continued my appeal to the UC Board, or went to the NLRB, I would never again get a job in my field. *Not a member of a B.U. = the union local, as a Pennsylvania employer, could, and did, refuse to enter into any contract with me or my fellow employees of the local—instead, that union local choose to offer employment under Pennsylvania’s at-will employment law.

Oh I saw one of these in Chicago last month but it was close to Halloween so I thought it was just some kickass decoration Oh so that’s what that What We Do In The Shadows rat was. I was thoroughly confused as to why someone would make a blowup display of an ugly rat. That makes more sense I saw one of these rats today, except it was on the Charles Wesley Godwin Metropolitan Theatre Morgantown, WV Dec 15, 2023 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this side of the highway with a “rat tracker” truck. Interesting promo strategy The UK is making it a requirement for things like hospitals and transport systems to provide service during strikes. They can request you to work when on strike and refusal is grounds for dismissal. Jesus the amount of salt in this thread has my blood pressure up, and laughing at all the offended keyboard warriors has me out of breath as well. Nothing like good ol fashioned bullying and intimidation of people who are trying to provide medical care for the ill and earn a paycheck. From my experience (in Australia), Union Workers are the real scabs. They’re easy to pick, because just stand around and achieve the bare minimum each day. Alright lifestyle i guess if your a bludger. I completely understand the right to strike but I’ve never understood shaming someone and calling them a scab because they want to work. Not everyone has the same situation as you.
