I like Uniqlo too but it’s pretty disingenuous to call it high quality brand, their clothes are more affordable generally. Better than pretty much anything in their price bracket, but yeah still not “high quality” I agree, I’m always surprised when people mention Uniqlo, I have been really surprised by how bad quality a lot of their things are. I think there are pieces at Uniqlo that can last forever (ie my partner has underwear that is still going strong from 5+ years ago)… but in the Carving Pumpkins Is My Cardio Scary Carved Halloween T-Shirt also I will do this same vein I have H&M items that are doing the same. And neither are indicators that those two brands are actually high quality… You can make crappy clothes last long with proper laundering. I have forever 21 dresses from over 10 years ago doing fine. It’s not because they’re quality garments It’s also a crapshoot and just depends on the piece. I use the same washing machine for all my laundry and some still hold up better than others. But yes – overall agree, yay for gentle cycles and down with driers!

Uniqlo is hit or miss but you can get some well made pieces. I’ve taken a few things that I bought there on sale to my tailor for shortening and he was surprised at the Carving Pumpkins Is My Cardio Scary Carved Halloween T-Shirt also I will do this quality. Looking at one coat I brought it (polyester but it looked like wool) he said that he couldn’t get coats that well made at wholesale for the same price. He’s been a tailor and worked in and owned menswear shops for more than a half century so I think he knows quality when he sees it. On the other hand I saw a dress at Uniqlo last summer that was very bad quality. I’ve seen better at H&M and have a thrifted of the same style from the 90s that’s much better. I’m not that happy with their hoodies and sweatshirts for the price I paid.
