Most restaurants dumped the pickup rack and require you to ask for the order and then confirm it in the app. It kills me to see another dasher come barging in being rude and dressed like they are going to bed or the beach and haven’t showered since birth! We need Tony to hit the flush button. I’ve used DD both at home and for at work regularly (1-2 times a week) since 2020, and 99% of my interactions are positive. Outside of one who dropped my food off in a hotel lobby without saying they weren’t going to the room, and one who dropped my groceries off at the wrong place (which I figured out and retrieved), I’ve had no rudeness, no asking for extra money, or anything. Could be wrong, but ur on Reddit, that’s why. Reddit is the shitpost to rule the shitposts. These people always existed, you just didn’t see them in the beginning.

Door dash and Uber/lyft were never sustainable. The companies operated at a loss for years to get their name and infrastructure out there. Once they ruined traditional cabs and had integrated their delivery services into peoples lives, they started changing way more money. They did it all on purpose. Same as Uber, and other gig apps, they’re taking anybody, and everybody.
