why the Camps Breakerz Lil Funk Watermelon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this fuck wouldn’t you want to be a traveling nurse? they make a shit load more. as in work 8 months and take 4 months off. They make what staff nurses should make. The job is so hard, it should be well compensated. No wonder there’s a shortage. Why would anyone want to work for peanuts? I see adds around me for travel RNs 100 to 120 bucks an hour WITH hospital paid housing. the hospital just leases out mid tier apartments. Not saying what’s right or wrong but they get paid nutty money and the travel agency definitely gets a fat cut of something. I’m talking before the NYSNA raise HHC RNs probably had a base pay of $30-50 while travel nurses can easily make $100-150 an hr. One dude literally went back and forth doing 2 month contracts, buying new Teslas, driving them home to Miami, rinse repeat. He had like 4 or 5 last time I checked but that’s just crazy. Hell my wife never even got the Covid hazard pay and she was there 6-7 days a week volunteering at the vaccine centers lol. Also things like patient ratios where travel nurses don’t go over but full time can have 2x the what they’re supposed to have. Again nothing against travel nurses really. We know some pretty cool ones. The pay to work ratio is nuts tho. Covid money was insane. FEMA paid a traveler I worked with so much. Worked an entire year, even though he wasn’t really need at the end. Made like $500,000 in a year. They shouldn’t have gotten to a strike in the first place, they should have taken care of their people. The hate is because the people coming in to hold things over are undermining the staff striking. The worst part is the hospital or business could have paid people those additional temp wages to perhaps avoid a strike.

Also the Camps Breakerz Lil Funk Watermelon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this hate is because they are literally willing to spend loads of extra money on travel staff instead of treating their own staff better. A lot of times they are paying for travel nurses because so many people are dropping out of nursing that they can’t get staff. It’s an issue everywhere and just a viscous circle, nurses are overworked so they leave nursing, and now there are less nurses and the ones remain are even more overworked. Can somebody define scab? I have a hunch its people who will work regardless of benefits and at a lower than deserved rate. That’s pretty much in spot on. But yeah essentially anyone who is working at a location in place of the striking union members. A scab is somebody who still works when though there’s a strike going on. Usually it’s somebody who was hired after the strike started. In the UK it’s someone who needs the money more than they need the idealism others are withholding work over. If you are on strike, you don’t get paid. I normally wouldn’t patronize a business that had people picketing, but if I had a medical problem and needed the hospital, that would be a moral dilemma. I know the rat is supposed to represent the company that hires non-union labor….but I always associate the rat with the union.
