I waited 15 minutes on a video call for my psychiatrist (just a quick 5 minute refill appt) and after that I hung up because I had to take my kid to the Came Out Swinging South Philly shirt in addition I really love this dentist. She called me (20 minutes after the appt time) all angry that I wasn’t in the video call yet and told me to get on. Like I have shit to do, can’t wait around all day. If I have a phone call or similar coming up I enter ‘waiting mode’ and essentially can’t do anything until that thing happens. Literally nothing. I will sit there fidgeting and wanting to get stuff done but not being able to. Most people don’t get like this, they’re capable of doing other stuff while waiting for the call. Tbh this would also upset my autism, I can’t stand when my schedule for the day is changed, drives me mad. Like I cry when people say ‘I’ll meet you at 5’ and turn up at 5:05 because that’s a disruption to the plan :/ When I applied for Social Security, I had to make an appointment to receive a phone call two months out. Thankfully, they were pretty much on time. Waiting was still stressful. There had been so many problems dealing with their website, that I was preparing myself for the worst.

Please inset spidermen pointing at each meme here because I’m too lazy to do a 3 second google search to find it This is me, which is why I don’t get up any earlier for work than I absolutely have to because if I know I have to be at work at a certain time, I can’t do anything else. I could exercise, play video games, watch a movie, or do some house work before going in but nah. I had a package delivery due. Didn’t get delivered on a day I worked due to SO not hearing the Came Out Swinging South Philly shirt in addition I really love this knock. It needed a signature. Luckily, I was off the next day… and got exactly nothing done because I sat. And sat. And sat. Staring at that door for a solid 6 hours. Because some part of my brain is convinced if I even go pee, I’m going to miss the knock. Because delivery people knock and run. I get 1 day off in a row and work 4 days as my schedule, and was peeved that I basically wasted that entire day since I literally couldn’t do anything else until it arrived (late, mind you)
