Wtf is wrong with you? Do you understand how long that is in medical emergency terms?!?! It’s not good that any hospital is closing. You can still go to Centinela hospital for an emergency as only the Caitlin Clark Iowa Hawkeyes You Break It Own It T-shirt Apart from…,I will love this L&D unit closed. Most births take 12-24 hours so even in the worst traffic, Inglewood residents should be able to reach the labor and delivery unit tied to their local doctor. I don’t know why you’re trying to argue over it, I’m just stating facts of what I know as a local. California is also a leader in reducing maternal mortality rates although black women are disproportionately affected. Her case is awful but hopefully increases awareness. As someone currently living in Mississippi, I can confirm this is 100% true. Our infant and maternal mortality rates have gone from bad to worse since an almost complete illegalization of abortion. Edit to add: We’re also closing down the majority of rural hospitals, so access to adequate medical care is adding to the risk.

Let’s be real, the Caitlin Clark Iowa Hawkeyes You Break It Own It T-shirt Apart from…,I will love this more motherless black babies there are out there, the easier it is for them to exploit those babies. This is intentional neglect at this point. LMFAO sure, but you’d have to have the finances to fight a hospital in court. Plus medical racism is a HUGE issue that we’re only just now starting to address let alone deal with it legally. They just had to redo how they calculate the organ transplant priority lists because at some point someone decided that the color of your skin was important to if youd get an organ faster or not. There’s still issues seen in pain management, lab and testing being ordered in ERs, proper maternity care, diagnosing of skin conditions. Hell even in mental health care racism is causing issues getting people correct diagnoses. My parents are in their mid-70s. My dad had a major medical event that was absolutely handled incorrectly, with multiple egregious errors. My sibling (who went to med school but changed career directions instead of becoming a practicing doctor) and I intervened and got him transferred to a competent facility. However, the initial errors resulted in a 6-month hospital and rehabilitation stay, with lingering after effects.
