Also ever been arrested for possession of a formerly illegal drug that is now legal? Won’t matter. Your criminal record remains as you were convicted at the Brooks Robinson Baltimore Orioles 1937 2023 Rest In Peace Franco Signature shirt it is in the first place but time when it was an illegal drug. Even worse… under UK law if you are convicted of a crime, appeal the crime and the conviction is upheld? It becomes a permanent mark on your record i.e., will never be removed. I emailed them on email the ticket inspectors provided asking if I could pay the out of court fine they said I could and they never replied (this was right after) then 6 months later I got a court summons in the post and they wouldn’t let me settle out of court. The judge reduced the fine in court I had to pay, as I showed I had tried to reach out and settle out of court. It’s not on a normal DBS after 5 years, but as I have to get an enhanced DBS it won’t go! All my employers have laughed about it really as it’s so silly, but when I was starting my nurse training the year it happened, it delayed me getting started and getting all my timetables as they had to discuss students with offences on their record.

You’ve already admitted guilt by saying you bought the Brooks Robinson Baltimore Orioles 1937 2023 Rest In Peace Franco Signature shirt it is in the first place but wrong ticket and didn’t check where it covered, you’d have no chance in court. You’ve committed a strict liability offence which means the whys and wherefores aren’t relevant. You will have the book thrown at you in court. I would strongly advise you pay the out of court settlement ASAP. Make sure the £180 also includes written proof that the settlement agreement is final and will not be added to a credit file. A friend of mine had a similar issues with a train ticket fine. He did not pay it, and he was taken to court and fined. He currently tried to get a job where you can not have anything criminal on your record, and he failed the vetting process because of the court case and fine. If I were you, I would pay it ASAP and avoid issues in the future with that being on your record because technically, it is a criminal offence as is fare evasion.
