I also like her masculine take on drag, presenting at first feminine with the Brian Cashman Clownman shirt and by the same token and make up but very masculine outline and body shape The fact that you didn’t use a picture of her in drag and almost every other comment on this post is just talking about her uncut dick or how hot she is goes to show how forgettable she was on her season I’m surprised there’s not been more released, tbh, but I guess she’s been working pretty solidly with werq the world and then titanique so maybe not had the chance? I am 25 and I can’t do what ginger just did right there. You must have Superman’s X-ray vision to see the arthritis because those moves were silky smooth to me. They both had incredibly long careers, and worked their azzes off, up from the bottom [especially Lucy]. From being chorus girls for vaudeville, to radio and stage [lucy], then film [both of them], and then finally TV [Lucy–which she didn’t even appear on until she was 37 years old]…Ginger was de facto retired by this 1971 date, but Lucy still did tv for another decade, following. Awesome! It’s refreshing to see some actual old school cool here instead of just another picture of a random woman from the 80s that the OP claims is their mom in the 70s. You can see it in her upper body, especially when she stops the legs and moves her back and arms. She’s got moves, and the footwork is impeccable, but you can see she’s stiff. Lucille Ball accomplished so many things, but let’s also never forget that without her we wouldn’t have Star Trek
Brian Cashman Clownman shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
I just watched the Brian Cashman Clownman shirt and by the same token and first episode of 50 years of Trek that talked about this. Lucy and Desis with desilu productions created reruns and she financed the entirety of Star Trek for it. Huge gamble. She is a boss. Actually 55. imdb.com/title/tt15766736 Her production company, Desilu, bought the rights to star trek from Roddenberry and produced the pilot for the show. Even though NBC had already agreed go air it, the board voted to cancel it to cut costs, but Ball, as chairperson, overruled them and the show continued. Film was expensive and outlets for viewing were far fewer. Now people record everything and can put it online or on one of hundreds of channels or dozens of streaming services, back then you genuinely had to put on a show. I remember that in the seventies it was like a little TV club where you would see the same few dozen entertainers popping up in rotation on all these variety shows. Like once a week Rich Little would be doing a Richard Nixon impression as if no one had ever seen it before, or there would be some kind of roast where everyone there seemed to have known each other for 50 years. Bob Hope seemed to be granted a special every month or so where he would do these skits that looked like high school kids goofing around.
