You felt dread at starting beef. It’s a new job and you don’t want to rock the Bizkit limp bizkit an american rap rock band T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this boat. You’ll probably feel better long term if you suck it up and don’t confront them. I’m not saying this is the correct decision. I’m just weighing the facts presented which show that you are conflicted. You don’t want to mess with your job, and you don’t want her to get away with it. And based on your story, forcing her to fix your car would remove a small dent but also create a possible work conflict for years to come. It’s just a dent and she’s a shitty person. Don’t mess with your job. hate her in silence. Maybe some day she will do something at work that benefits you. You can guarantee that will never happen if you make her do something she clearly thinks she shouldn’t have to do. The answers here are a great representation of the hard reality that what you should probably do in a situation like this and what someone deserves are different things

Don’t let it go. She dinged your car and should be known as a bitch for it. Would your coworkers let it slide if they saw that shit happen to their car at the Bizkit limp bizkit an american rap rock band T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this grocery store ? Nah If you work with the kind of people who would go apeshit over a little ding in a grocery store parking lot, then you should look for another job. That sounds like a really toxic work environment. In this situation I think the most practical approach would be to show her the dent, say she probably hasn’t seen it. See if she offers to compensate you. You have a lot to lose emotionally and possibly financially. But this approach might work and shows you won’t be walked over but aren’t overreacting. Perhaps both parties would be happy if she paid you some small amount of money to cover the cost of devaluation to the car. The best thing to do is keep it really short & sweet. I’d say something like, “I’ve filed my insurance claim for the damage, so can I grab your insurance details?” Don’t apologize, act like you’re being annoying or anything like that. It’s just a very straightforward information exchange. Starting beef is on her not you. There’s no magic way for you to phrase your request so she does not react in the way she will. She’s already made that choice.
