It happens probably daily across the Binghamton University Bearcat shirt in other words I will buy this US, but for the majority of folks, no it’s not the norm. Usually see it with dysfunctional families, parents who never wanted a child in the first place, or because they were tossed out at the same age and are ‘continuing’ a tradition as I’ve seen some stories on this subject mention, often followed by parents that reach out a year or years later and wonder why their child hasn’t reached back out after they ‘established’ themselves. Crap people exist everywhere. I didn’t move out of a house that one of parents had until I was… 27/28? Heck technically since my dad moved out of the second to last house I was living at with my dad’s ex girlfriend, I ended up moving back in with my mom. I paid rent, tried to get a job in my field beyond being a temp contractor and finally landed a good one. A couple years of that, saving up and paying off my federal student loans, and I finally moved out on my own.

IDK, I’ve heard that it happens but nobody I know personally was kicked out at 18. Some went to college but they still technically lived at home until graduation and having to move for work or grad school. I lived at home until I was about 22 and I only moved because my mom needed to sell our house and I didn’t want to change cities because of my job. Also none of us had to pay rent, just some general contribution to household expenses or taking care of all their own expenses. Most of my friends were from lower income families in a high cost of living area so maybe that’s why we weren’t kick out of the Binghamton University Bearcat shirt in other words I will buy this nest IDK People who are kicked out at 18 are a slim minority. Most want to move out. Or they get upset their parents want them to contribute financially because they aren’t working or going to school. If more people stayed at home just 2-3 years longer you’d probably see a lot less in debt. You’d be surprised how money you can save while living at home and trying to save mone We don’t. Expectations change, but unless there are home problems they normally stay until the kids are ready to go.
