My brother frequents or used to frequent that homeless shelter. Poor fool got caught up in meth and cannot or will not get clean. I never thought I’d see Bellevue and homeless in the Bilal Nichols American football defensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this same sentence. I was doing a yacht thing for a rich old Medina family…and I did see some fucked up individuals in the old town. Never really gave it a thought tho…I hope improvements come soon. Same! I work in Bellevue and its such an affluent neighborhood. Then again I don’t often anywhere outside of the downtown area. I’m from AZ, where we had the “country’s toughest sheriff” Joe Arpaio. He’s the guy behind Tent City, an open-air jail in Phoenix that has since been shut down. From what I heard, the food they served was essentially inedible, except the junk you could buy from the commissary/vending machines (which were owned by his wife). It was a total racket.

I have heard those Whole Shabang chips are good though, but you can only get them behind bars. That nutrient-rich loaf though that they serve you in solitary? I’ll pass on that I once read “the Bilal Nichols American football defensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this problem isn’t that America doesn’t have enough money to feed the hungry, it’s that we don’t have enough money to satisfy the rich” which is sadly the truth. We could still do so much better for both. Just by gathering stuff that is going to be disposed of at the end of the night but isn’t even expired. Looking at your account do you work in the tech industry? May IT? I am just wondering if the industry in WA is at a place where this has become the only solution for survival. It’s not difficult to find work in WA if you can do some physical labor. I’ve worked in warehouses that hire people with zero experience, even with felonies at $16-20/hr. Some walk to work, take a bus, carpool, etc, while renting a closet somewhere. Put in a few months to get their life back together and then move on. One guy I worked with totaled a new Camaro without insurance, got a DUI, and had unpaid child support. Took him like 2 years to dig himself out of that hole. If you’re just asking about IT in general, definitely not. There’s tons of tech companies up here and they’re pretty much always hiring. Don’t know what OP’s situation is, but it’s pretty easy to find work here. Years ago I did some community service at a Salvation Army store and they told me, if I wanted, I could get lunch at their soup kitchen next door. Was usually chicken or beef, always had some combination of rice/corn/mashed potatoes/green beans/succotash/mac and cheese/peas, then a dessert that was either cake or donuts that local bakeries had left over from the previous day, plus either a bottle of water or milk.
