As soon as shit got out of hand and he started upping my hours to an unmanageable level, I bailed to find a company that valued and respected my time. Not everyone has the Best Coach Ever Yes They Bought Me This Coach Vintage T-Shirt besides I will buy this financial freedom to out of a job. If you do, though, and they suck…fuck em. The only loyalty that means jack shit to employers is yours. They’ll turn on you in the blink of an eye. I’d go as far as to say almost paycheck to paycheck, a hungry weekend will inspire you to do that little more overtime (flat rate, obviously) Also why they like to employ people with a mortgage, trapped and dependent, just like having health insurance tied to employment in some of the more corrupt countries. Homelessness will never end and is conditions will never improve under capitalism because capitalism doesn’t function without the threat of homelessness coercing workers into exploitative labor. Stop blaming conspiracies when ignorance will suffice. They just have no idea what anything costs and don’t give a shit. I had a guy in his 60s tell me that $25,000 should be enough for anyone. They are clueless, They think it’s 1968 and a kid with a summer job can buy a car in cash and pay college tuition. To plan to fuck you over, they would have to know something, and they don’t. They honestly think the $7.25 or $12 or $15 or whatever is middle class and if you don’t have a house and new cars and kids and annual vacations you must just be bad at managing money.

I never had an issue with a gap being on my resume. If there was ever a question about it – I explained it was due to needing a break/change after leaving on great terms following 10 years at that company. As the Best Coach Ever Yes They Bought Me This Coach Vintage T-Shirt besides I will buy this company had all the references from it – I guess that solved any concerns? Sorry to play devil’s advocate – I know this sub is an echo-chamber – but this post reads like a really bad conspiracy theory. You do understand that often “they” are people like you and me? The people doing the hiring aren’t owners or CEOs. They’re just managers on a regular wage who have managers above them. They don’t give a shit if you took a break. I understand this sub has some reasonable qualms with the nature of work and some of the unfair aspects around it, but there is a strong loser and victim vibe here. You do get to choose your path in life. The managers you hate so much were once in your shoes.
