Lesson 1. Don’t ever have a gap on your resume. Make some shit up. You went to go work for a startup that ended up failing. You took a break to get some additional specialized training. You’re all too damn honest in your resumes and the Good friends don’t let you do stupid things alone T-shirt also I will do this only person it ends up hurting is you. People were so obsessed with not being reliant on the government they didn’t see corporations doing the exact same thing Worse yet, people who aren’t living on the edge have the means to demand political change and economic fairness by participating in protests, strikes, and riots if need be. The more desperate people are the more cheaply they will sell their labor and the natural resources of their lands. What is shitty wage? I’ve seen posts here been happy with $35k and saying they love their job. For me it’s shitty wage, but a person seemed happy. I don’t think that’s anything nearly as conscious as this as the people making the hiring decisions are usually not the bosses, they’ve just been brainwashed for decades with a social norm that equates value as a person and employment. That means gaps = less employment = less value as a person. But this isn’t even a conscious process, it’s just drilled in most people’s skull, not even something they think about. Ultimately the result is the same, having a social contract that equates morals and value as a person with work (and stupid stuff such a “work ethics”) means that people will work as much as they can because that’s the only way they have value in the eyes of the society (and of themselves because of that social construct).

Hiring people with no gaps on resumes isn’t an intentional act that’s causing society to be the Good friends don’t let you do stupid things alone T-shirt also I will do this way it is, it’s the other way around, because of mass media messaging we have social constructs that push recruiters to hire with no gap on the resumes because unconsciously that’s how they have been trained to value people. You’re correct. Fascists want a population dependent on economic slavery. Money is permission and the goal is to ensure you have none. The current system is as close to slavery as they can get, with the added benefit that they don’t have to buy us, and can discard us at their convenience. Also having another job lined up before leaving is by far the ideal way to do it so if someone doesn’t do that it’s a red flag. There’s legit reasons to do it but employers error on the side of caution
