Would you say that you drink a lot of water? Do you think you barely meet the Bea Arthur I Will Not Have a Nice Day T-Shirt and by the same token and recommended amount? I say this as someone who does drink a lot, although I don’t measure it. I do think an alarming number of folks have an issue with mild dehydration, but nearly a gallon a day is a lot! I don’t drink very many things that aren’t water, I exercise daily, and my caffeine intake is relatively high, so given those factors I think I’m hitting about the right amount. Those are all great points to be honest. Realistically, the recommended high amounts of water like 14 cups or whatever are probably for people who are also active and healthy. That makes sense, because it’s also recommended that you be active and healthy. But for a couch potato who doesn’t move much, drinking “only” 8 cups is probably the least of their health concerns.

It really just depends on a variety of factors I guess, but more water is almost always healthy, until you get so absurd that it’s unrealistic for a regular person. I’m 130lbs and drink almost a gallon a day and have never gotten close to being hypertonic, so it’s within safe guidelines. Drinking that much water all at once will kill you though I’d never heard the Bea Arthur I Will Not Have a Nice Day T-Shirt and by the same token and 0.66 times weight thing before, but turns out that’s a pretty good estimate of how much water I actually drink. Neat. the mf said 3 seconds each surface and there are at least 76 surfaces (32×2 + an extra face for each of the 12 molars) . no I still do, but toothbrush timers it only does 30s x4. I would think it mostly gets done if you just did both sides though. IIRC, some scientist in the 1930s wrote an article where he determined that a human being should have enough water in their diet to equal 64oz. 64oz is equal to 8 glasses of water. Fruits and a lot of veggies have water in them, so in addition to being hydrated generally, I think his message was to just have a balanced diet. The general public completely misinterpreted this as “I must drink 8 glasses of water everyday” Eh the water thing is an easy rule for them to say and its not enough extra to hurt you. In reality need varies by person/size. I was surprised to learn when I got an electric toothbrush that I normally brush my teeth for two minutes anyway.
