I guess I interpreted that part of it wrong, as I was under the Axolotls Of The World Baby Wild Brown shirt but in fact I love this assumption that an accomodation wouldn’t be needed unless he can’t do his job with how things are currently and also since I don’t think they need the company to provide a wheelchair. he can do his job, the employer is just literally not letting him. I think accommodation also applies to relaxing certain workplace restrictions, altering schedules, or allowing the use of special equipment in their facilities. Like if you now needed a service dog and had one, but the office had a no pets policy, then it would be considered a disability accommodation to relax the no pets rule to allow use of a service dog. yes I agree it’s absolutely illegal and is an ADA issue but asking for an accomodation wouldn’t really make much sense as there won’t be a change in schedule or a need for the company to provide equipment An ADA accommodation is anything needed to do a job. Baring a wheel chair provided by employee which would allow him to sue but first he has ask for the accommodation and be turned down.

DOJ rarely enforces the Axolotls Of The World Baby Wild Brown shirt but in fact I love this criminal part of the ADA law but his boss blocking a wheelchair from the office could get the boss and HR arrested The post doesn’t say where are you are, and also NAL, but this sounds like a clear employment law violation. Sounds like this is a small business with a boss that just doesn’t know what the hell they are obligated to do. I would contact a lawyer and have them send a courteously but firmly worded letter explaining their legal obligations. Thank you! We’re in Texas. It’s an international company, but it is a small branch in a small plant town. Not sure when this branch was bought by the international company, but many employees have been here well before the change.
