I used to ask my husband before I did, and it would end up becoming a big argument. I do this for my husband. He doesn’t like to spend money on those things. I know he won’t buy them for himself but he deserves it. My girlfriend has this slick move and I never ever pick up on it. She will ask me if I’m attached to something. Example: I have a pair of Tommy Hilfiger boxer shorts I’ve had since I was 15. It’s the only article of clothing that has survived multiple moves and relationships. They have no holes or stains of any sort but are admittedly pretty thin, I say yes I’m attached. I have countless socks that are old or a cut up t shirt. She’ll ask me randomly if I love this shirt or put of socks. Next time she goes out she will get me new socks or some kinda T-shirt or socks and replace them and then disappear the old ones. I think about that often when she does something that is unpleasant. Sometimes u just gotta appreciate the lil things

And I do, appreciate my wife and love her to death, but randomly ripping something that can survive till replacement is unnecessary and annoying as high hell. Being asked is completely different. If it’s on your toes or heel, yeah, that sock is finished, but I have a pair that has a small hole along the seam near the ankle and it doesn’t really bother me to wear them. The holes in socks are always on the heel or toes though, that’s where the wear shows. Not often a little hole randomly pops up on the ankle. I would say these were too far gone This is wild to me.
