Regardless, I won’t be there.

It may not help you if they choose to fire you, but it can help diffuse some frustration if they genuinely don’t remember. Every time off “request” I’ve given has started with “I will…” followed by the Awesome pro Donald Trump You Could Save 20-40% By Switching Back To Trump shirt also I will do this reason. By the time I even think to ask off, I’ve already made the plans and my boss doesn’t really get a say I found my vacation time gets approved a lot quicker and more frequently when I say “I will” instead of “Can I”. With “Can I” it makes no an option. And it shouldn’t be. It was never and should never have been ASKING for time off, we need to stop this shit. They (corporations) do not own us. The audacity of this shit brick of a person to say this to you is beyond pail. You are not a bad employee for wanting/needing to take time off.
