But what would it mean if I had kids? I couldn’t force them to take care of us. Lonely elders (who are parents) are a real thing in our society and it’s foolish to think having a child prevents you from old age loneliness. That’s entirely up to you. I knew when I was 5 years old that I wasn’t put on Earth to be a mother. When I was younger I’d always get the “you’ll change your mind someday!” kind of comments but always held strong in my decision. NO regrets whatsoever. I (62) don´t and dare say nobody does. We have a full life they way we want it and not the way we have to have it because of kids. It is only the ones with kids that sometimes wish they hadn´t.

I’m 40 and my husband is 39. We both love our no kids life and have never once regretted it. We’d be miserable and regretful if we became parents.
