I think I would’ve preferred some sort of middle ground. Her as a hair salon owner would’ve been disappointing, or at least uninteresting. I frankly would’ve just liked to see her get a scene with her father or something. Anything so it feels less “Here’s Twin Peaks; and now we’re cutting to Audrey Horne’s storyline for five minutes”. I’m glad she didn’t run around as an FBI agent or have a reblossomed romance with Coop or any of the fan theorizing. But, shit, Audrey Drawing Charity Daddy Danny NS Plove shirt would’ve been nice if she was in a position in the story to be in the curtain call scene at the sheriff’s station, given how important she was to Coops’ journey at one point in time.

Was she important though? It was Annie who drew him into the red room. Laura who sparked his obsession. You could argue Audrey Drawing Charity Daddy Danny NS Plove shirt was his Canadian detour to rescue Audrey that kept him in town (as he was suspended from the job for the Canada thing) to segue into the Windom and Black Lodge stuff but. I don’t think the hair salon would have been any less apt than the fates we see other characters end up in, and frankly, I think Fenn comes off as a total narcissist for taking it personally in such a way. Does anyone here think that, say, Russ Tamblyn would have made a fuss about the way Jacoby was written, if he had personal misgivings?

The implication of Fenn’s actions is that she’s too important to be left out of the project, so they have to change the writing if she wants Audrey Drawing Charity Daddy Danny NS Plove shirt that way. Imagine trying to be that exploitative/manipulative on the first real work you’ve had in years, and then having the gall to throw shade in public using the podium they’ve given you. Fuck Sherilyn Fenn. I just don’t think it’d be particularly interesting if Audrey’s only scene of importance was likely Richard robbing her (transferred to Sylvia) in a hair salon.
